First Contact Physio

Part of our Northamptonshire Rural PCN Team, a first contact practitioner is an experienced physiotherapist who has the advanced skills necessary to assess, diagnose & recommend appropriate treatment or referral for musculoskeletal (MSK) problems on a patient's first contact with their GP surgery.

Podiatry

Part of our Northamptonshire Rural PCN Team, help patients by examining their feet and lower legs to diagnose diseases, illnesses, or injuries.

TRACEY WALKER

Bi-weekly appointments available at Weedon.

Social Prescribers

Social prescribing involves helping people to improve their health and well-being by connecting patients to activities in the community. Link workers connect those feeling lonely overwhelmed or in need of help to a range of local support, from community and activity groups to work, debt or housing advice.

Dispensary

Led by our Lead Dispenser, Vic Tanner, our team of dispensers provides medicines for those patients who live within the practice catchment area and do not live within one mile of a chemist. Patients attending the surgery will normally have their prescriptions dispensed at the time of their consultation providing they are dispensing patients. Any practical issues experienced regarding your medication, such as difficulty in opening packets or difficulty in swallowing tablets can be discussed with a member of the dispensary staff who will be happy to help and advise you.

Administration

Led by Louise Barnard, our team of experienced practice administrators provide an important link for patients with the practice and are your initial contact for general enquiries. They can provide information on our services and results and direct you to the right person depending on your health issue or query. The team make appointments with our clinical team and you will be asked for brief details so you can be directed to the most suitable clinician. They have been trained to make these enquiries so that we can help you in the most appropriate way and will treat everything you say in the strictest confidence. Our administration team also perform other important tasks such as detail with patient records, audits, registrations, referrals, scanning, summarising, workflow, processing hospital letters, and general administration duties.
